Less than 13 km from Les Genêts campsite, the Peyrebrune Tower dominates the Alrance Valley. At the start of your visit, we show a film to immerse you in the history of Alrance. Then start by climbing the tower and be rewarded with a unique panoramic view on the valley and Villefranche-de-Panat Lake when you arrive at the top. Panoramic maps allow you to get your bearings of the natural sites and surrounding villages, as far as the Pyrenees.
The small village of Alrance is also known for its churches of Alrance and Capelle-Farcel as well as for the lake of Villefranche de Panat, which bears the name of its neighbouring commune. In the heart of the Pays des Lacs, on the Lévezou, you will immerse yourself in a traditional atmosphere in the heart of the Aveyron countryside. A guaranteed change of scenery.
The Peyrebrune tower is about 20 minutes by car from the 4-star Les Genêts camping club. Take the D577 towards Alrance. You will see the tower on your left before you reach Alrance. Did you enjoy the panoramic view of the valley and the lake? Take a detour to Durenque before retracing your steps. The town houses in the Roupeyrac mill a museum dedicated to the poet François Fabié.
