Don’t miss a visit to the Tour de Peyrebrune during your stay in Alrance! Less than 13 km from Les Genêts campsite, the Peyrebrune tower dominates the Alrance valley. The tour begins with a film that immerses you in the history of Alrance.

Then begins the ascent of the tower, rewarded on arrival by a unique panorama of the valley and the Villefranche-de-Panat lake. You can use the orientation tables to spot the surrounding natural sites and villages, all the way to the Pyrenees.

The small village of Alrance is also famous for its churches of Alrance and La Capelle-Farcel, and for the Villefranche de Panat lake, named after its neighboring commune.

The Peyrebrune tower is a twenty-minute drive from the 4-star Les Genêts campsite. Take the D577 towards Alrance. You’ll see the tower on your left before you reach Alrance.

Enjoy the panoramic view of the valley and lake? Make a detour to Durenque before retracing your steps. The Roupeyrac mill houses a museum dedicated to the poet François Fabié.
