The Aveyron prefecture is 40 km north-west of Les Genêts campsite. It takes around 45 minutes by car to get to Rodez. From Salles-Curan, take the D993 towards Canet-de-Salars then Pont-de-Salars. Once on the D911, follow signs for Rodez.

Canet-de-Salars is home to a beautiful church (Saint-Pierre), a listed historic monument and nicknamed the “cathedral of Lévézou”. You’ll be able to see Lac de Pareloup from a different angle, and enjoy some great walks to and from Caussanel.
