Visit the Soulages Museum<\/strong> in Rodez<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In the heart of Aveyron, in Rodez, the Mus\u00e9e<\/strong> d’Art<\/strong> Contemporain<\/strong>, dedicated to the work<\/strong> of Soulages<\/strong>, is an exceptional place that will appeal not only to art lovers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Comprising a permanent<\/strong> exhibition<\/strong> of works by the French painter and engraver, a temporary<\/strong> exhibition<\/strong> space<\/strong> featuring works by major international artists such as Picasso and Alexander Calder, and a gourmet area, the Soulages museum is a unique place of which the town of Rodez is proud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now a must-see in Aveyron, the Soulages museum<\/strong> is a 45-minute drive from our 5-star campsite in Aveyron<\/a>.With its unique steel-dominated architecture nestled in a 3-hectare park<\/strong>, and its 6,000 m2 of exhibition space<\/strong>, the Soulages Museum is an exceptional venue in Aveyron. The permanent exhibition<\/strong> houses a collection of over 500 works and documents<\/strong>: paintings on canvas, lithographs and serigraphs, paintings on paper, bronze and copper engravings, his experiments with Outrenoir, as well as the preparatory work Pierre Soulages carried out during the design of the stained glass windows for the Abbey Church in Conques.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/section>

Opening hours and prices<\/strong> of the Soulages Museum<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Soulages Museum<\/a> welcomes visitors every day of the year<\/strong> except Mondays and certain public holidays (January 1, May 1, November 1 and December 25). Open from 10:00 to 13:00 and 14:00 to 18:00 Tuesday to Friday, and from 10:00 to 18:00 Saturday and Sunday. In July and August, it remains open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Tickets cost \u20ac11 for adults.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Admission is free for under-18s<\/strong>, students, jobseekers and certain other groups. Groups of 10 or more receive a discount<\/strong> (\u20ac7 per person). An annual subscription<\/strong> (\u20ac25) gives free, unlimited access for one year to three Rodez museums: Soulages, Fenaille and Denys-Puech.
