Visit<\/strong> the Micropolis insect park<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On the L\u00e9v\u00e9zou plateau, the Micropolis Insect City<\/a> is a 2500 m2<\/strong> space dedicated to the fascinating world of insects<\/strong>. The museum is located in Saint-L\u00e9ons, the village where entomologist Jean-Henri Favre was born. The only one of its kind in Europe<\/strong>, the park offers an interactive tour of over 50 species of live insects<\/strong>, 3D films<\/strong> andoutdoor attractions<\/strong> near our Aveyron campsite<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The indoor tour is made up of 15 areas dedicated to insects<\/strong>. The first is the vivariums, where you can observe different species in their natural environment. Then, in an interactive area, you’ll discover the general characteristics of insects, what makes them different and what brings them closer to humans. At Micropolis, you can also see a real anthill, as well as an active beehive or bumblebee nest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the pleasure of the eyes, the butterfly greenhouse<\/strong> is an opportunity to discover the exceptional shapes and colors of tropical species. The Micropolis museum also has an indoor educational play area for younger children. For older children, there are virtual insects<\/strong> and great<\/strong> challenges<\/strong>!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/section>

Micropolis opening hours and prices<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you’d like to visit this unique space with your family during your camping holiday near Millau<\/a>, prefer Saturdays or Wednesdays<\/strong>, when Micropolis receives few (if any) school groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tickets cost \u20ac15.90 for adults<\/strong>. Children aged 5 to 12 benefit from a reduced rate<\/strong> (\u20ac11), andadmission is free for children under 5<\/strong>. Special rates <\/strong>are available for the unemployed and disabled (\u20ac13.40 for over-12s). Please note that Micropolis prices are those applicable in 2023.<\/p>\n\n\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/section>
